Unhappy News

Well, we have bad news to share. The townhouse, which I told you that we had found is now a NO GO! The owner told me on the telephone today that she has decided to stay in the townhouse herself, so Leslie & I are asking for your prayers again, as we are in the "living quarters" mode again. There is not very much available, as far as what we are looking at right now, and it seems to us that we have seen almost everything.

We are looking for a townhouse / condo 2 or (preferably) 3 BR, 2 BA, if anyone hears of anything, please tell them that you know of someone that might be interested in it. Thank you, and hope everyone has a good week.

Answered Prayers

Hi everyone,

I am writing to tell everyone thank you (1st of all) for the prayers, which Leslie & I asked for, about us seeking for a new place to live. This past week was very hectic for us, as our current place of residence, well basically "lied" to us, about our lease & when we could get out of it. This put a "damper" on our plans of when we were moving, as well as were we going... "we thought." Then, we went back to look at the townhouse that we had found again last night & the owner is willing to work with us, considering our conditions, so we are going to be able to move into the place which we liked the best; out of all of the places, which we had visited.

We are going to be moving out at the end of April (refer to the lease problems about the prolonged date), however we are excited that we have found a place to live. Again, we both thank you very much for all of your prayers, without them, this could not have happened in such a timely matter. Everyone have a good weekend.

Update to Blog

Hello everyone,

I do not know if anyone has had any difficulties recently with reading the blog publishing, but I wanted to try something different. So, I have gone back to the way that I began posting the LGNS newsletters. I have placed those newsletters on the right-hand side of the page, because I thought that it would make it easier for everyone to find and locate those. I went back to December & updated everything.

Hopefully everyone will find this layout easier to read & see everything that is going on. And, also, it makes it easier for whenever you want to make a post back to the blog. Please let me know if there is something different that you want me to do & I will see what I can do for you.

Thanks,

Chad

LGNS 12/28/08

Hey All --
Well apparently everyone but the Hodsons and Rossinis decided not to come to Life Group today (that includes the Clines). I know, I know -- this is a big travel time part of the year and even if you did not travel -- it is a very taxing week. I hope you and your family had a wonderful week last week and have a wonderful upcoming week. Please take care and be careful in what you do and hope to see you back on this next week. There will not be a formal newsletter for this week, but if you have some updates you wish for me to send out -- let me know.
I hope the new year finds you well and see you soon...

** Also, Please keep the Goodman family in your prayers. They have been sick since Christmas and are just now starting to heal.
They wanted me to let you know they miss the class and hope to return soon.

PRAISE HIM!

I stand amazed and humbled at the generosity of our friends and family during this trial our family has been going through the last 3 months. Now that we are coming out of it, I can reflect back and see how amazing God's power and timing is. We truly have been surrounded with love, not only by our Lord, but by our precious friends and loved ones. This week, Brent was offered a position at Omega, a subcontracting business for Y-12 in Oak Ridge. This job has been in the works for several weeks now, but it is finally a for sure thing! He accepted the position and his first day was Wednesday! Praise the Lord! I am not going to lie to you, these last few months have been very difficult and rocky at times, but only by God's grace have we been able to have His perfect peace and rest. We want to thank our LifeGroup again for the generous Christmas gift. Our party was the December 12th and our home mortgage came out the 15th. The amount our LifeGroup gave us was $20 dollars short of the what our mortgage is. It only reassured us again, that God knows all, He knew how much we needed and that is what we got. This was a prayer answered and God provided us with what we needed!! Thank you, Lord! We have had several people leave us cash, gift cards, taken us grocery shopping, sent us encouragement cards, countless meals paid for, given us food, formula, and diapers for the baby, but most importantly, prayed for us. I could go on and on about how God has used people and different situations to speak, minister, and provide for our family. Just this week, some of our precious friends brought us a Walmart gift card that was desperately needed for groceries. I can honestly say that even though this has been a trying time, we have drawn close to God and depended on him for EVERYTHING! This is where we should all be on a daily basis...God has a way of showing us that we need Him, not only for the big things, but also for small things. Again, during this Christmas season, we want to thank everyone for thier unfailing love, undeniable generosity, and unselfish giving. Oh, how Christ must be blessed!

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength. Isaiah 26:3-4

Prayers for us

Hey guys,

I am asking for prayer for my 7 month old niece, Maddie. Tomorrow morning she will be having a rather large birthmark removed from her stomach. This birthmark could possibly pose problems later on in life if not removed (i.e. skin cancer, etc) Please pray for my sis-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandra and Adam. Thanks and see you Sunday.
